The Continuing Saga of The Man

Actually this should be entitled:

The Further Adventures of the Techno Barbarian

Those of you who know The Man (as he's been dubbed in my journals), are aware that he is blissfully and woefully innocent when it comes to much of the technology that others of us take for granted, some to the point that we don't even realize that others don't even have a clue that such technology exits, let alone how to use it. Technology that some could not fathom how they would make it thru the day without. (He is however quite knowledgeable in other areas and he is among the very few honorable men I'd choose to have at my side when the chips were down. He is well aware that he is a source of amusement as I am to him with my woeful ignorance of all things Texan which is a whole blog in itself).

So our hero Techno Barbarian, who in our last episode learned after years of having a cell phone that the little envelope on the screen meant that you had text messages. Um…they do that? Ah…yes. Oh only 45 text messages..over a year old some of them…ah good. So we erase after he reads and/or I translate and I show the man how to do a text message.

Any way, we join our hero Techo Barbarian as he is telling one of his buddies about his new 'suitcase'. The buddy (whose technical geekdom meter is at about a 9 out of a possible 10), looks puzzled. Encouraged by the look of transfixion and puckered brow on his buddy's face, Techno Barbarian waxes and expounds on his 'suitcase' which is going to be on the internet so people can look at his bones (yes a another whole blog). Techno Barbarian speak "it will have thingies in it so you can see the bones". The buddy just about pees his pants laughing when he realizes that elusive item that our hero is going on about is a Yahoo Briefcase. With pictures in it. With a slide show featuring the work of Little Hawk's Bone Yard. With an email address attached.

*Sigh. And this was our savior of the remote 2 episodes ago……
